Asian Games 2026 LIVE Updates: Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of the Asian Games 2026. Indian athletes will be in action across multiple events in Aichi-Nagoya on Friday, with women’s cricket, Teqball and Soft Tennis among the events to follow.
The Indian women’s cricket team will begin its Asian Games campaign in the quarter-finals, taking on Japan as the defending champions. India won the women’s T20 cricket gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou and will now begin their bid for another medal in the competition.
There will also be Indian representation in Teqball, with athletes competing in the women’s singles and mixed doubles events, while the men’s team will compete in Soft Tennis.
In Teqball, Quimcy Joaquim Dsouza will compete in the women’s singles before joining Mohamed Anas Imran Beg for the mixed doubles events. Meanwhile, Jay Meena, Aryan Thakur and Yogesh Choudhary will represent India in the men’s team Soft Tennis qualification event.
