Rahul Gandhi will interact with the youth in the 'Students' Echo' program in Indore on 19th September. Tezzbuzz Desk- Former Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will participate in the 'Students' Echo' program organized in Indore on September 19. During this he will interact with the youth and students. Before Rahul Gandhi's visit, the police have made extensive preparations for the security arrangements of the program and have set 31 conditions for the organizers.
For these security conditions, the police has also cited the report of Justice JS Verma Commission related to the investigation of Rajiv Gandhi assassination case that took place in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu on May 21, 1991. Deficiencies related to security arrangements, entry control and barricading were mentioned in the report.
A condition has been laid to deploy 1500 volunteers to control the crowd in the program. At least 500 women volunteers will be included in these. Apart from this, 40 night-vision CCTV cameras will have to be installed at the venue, arrangements for monitoring of which will also have to be ensured.
According to the police, 6 entry gates and 8 exit gates will be made at the venue. 20 DFMD and 30 to 40 HHMD will be deployed for security checking. A D-Zone of about 25 to 30 feet will be created in front of the stage and double barricading will be done for security.
The organizers will also have to give an affidavit regarding the crowd coming to the program. In this, along with telling the number of men and women separately, information will also have to be given about which colleges and districts people will come to the program from.
Information related to the list of people coming on the stage, their addresses and photo ID will have to be made available to the police 24 hours before the program. Arrangements will have to be made to send the live feed of the CCTV cameras installed at the venue to the police control room. It will also be mandatory to keep the recording safe.
Organizers will have to prepare an emergency plan to deal with any emergency. Sector plans and mock drills will also have to be arranged to safely evacuate the crowd. For medical emergencies, deployment of doctors, paramedical staff and ambulances will be necessary. There is also a condition of using fire retardant material in the pandal.
According to the police, the final decision to stop, limit or cancel the program in case of bad weather or any other emergency will remain with the police. The platform will be sealed after 6 pm on Friday. After this, the entire complex will be investigated with the help of bomb disposal squad and dog squad.
A dispute has also come to light between Congress and Indore Development Authority regarding the venue of the program. Congress had deposited Rs 10 lakh 8 thousand 175 for about 12 thousand square meters of land in front of the Regional Park. This land was given on temporary lease from 17 to 19 September.
IDA inspection revealed that the use of about 4800 square meter area had started from September 14 itself. After this the authority asked Congress to deposit additional fees of Rs 4 lakh 3 thousand 270. Congress also deposited this amount. After this, the total payment for the venue exceeded Rs 14 lakh 11 thousand.
Congress has accused the administration of taking action under political pressure regarding the demand for additional fare. At the same time, BJP says that this matter is not about stopping any political program, but about the rules and fixed fees related to the use of government land.
