Tata Motors has launched the new Legend Series of its popular SUV Tata Sierra in the Indian market. The company has added many additional comfort, technology and premium features in this new series compared to the existing Sierra. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 11.99 lakh, while the price of the top variant goes up to ₹ 19.49 lakh.
The Legend Series will be sold alongside the existing Sierra range. It includes five trims namely Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L(O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. Each subsequent variant retains the features of the previous variant and adds additional features on top of it.
Tata Sierra Legend Series: Variants and features
Smart+ L — Starting from ₹11.99 lakh
An attempt has been made to give a premium touch to the entry-level Smart+ L of the Legend Series. It gets leatherette seats, door trim and armrest, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs, roof rails and 17-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers.
In terms of safety, features like six airbags, electronic stability program, disc brakes on all four wheels and electronic parking brake are available.
Pure L — more technology and connectivity
The Pure L adds several new features over the Smart+ L. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear parking camera, cruise control, drive modes, hill descent control and TPMS.
Apart from this, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear washer-wiper are also provided.
Pure L(O) — variant with panoramic sunroof
The Pure L(O) adds features from the Pure L like a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.
Pure+ L — premium cabin and greater comfort
The cabin has been made more premium in Pure+ L. It gets full leatherette interior, ventilated front seats, 6-way power-adjust driver seat, thigh-support extender and Boss Mode.
Along with this, features like dual-zone automatic climate control, one-touch anti-pinch window for the driver and 65W USB-C charging port at the rear are also provided.
Adventure+ L — the top variant with the most features
Adventure+ L is the top variant of the Legend Series. It gets a 360-degree HD surround-view camera, blind-spot view, front parking sensors, LED fog lamps and terrain modes for different terrains.
Apart from this, facilities like superglide suspension, large infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, cooled glovebox and more adjustments in the rear seats have been provided.
six color options
Tata Sierra Legend Series is offered in color options like Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Bengal Rouge and Andaman Adventure. Not all colors are available in every variant.
Engine and Gearbox
The Legend Series continues to be offered with Sierra's existing 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Manual and automatic transmissions are available depending on the variant.
It has options like 6-speed manual, automatic and in some variants 7-speed DCT. Powertrain availability in the Legend Series varies depending on the variant.

Ex-showroom prices for the Tata Sierra Legend Series start at ₹11.99 lakh and go up to ₹19.49 lakh. The aim of this series is to provide premium features even in the more affordable variants of Sierra.
