A very surprising and big news is coming out from the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Vicious cyber thugs have secretly stolen Rs 1.55 lakh from the bank account of Pooja Pal, MLA from Chail Assembly seat of Kaushambi. The special thing is that this amount was not withdrawn in one go, but through different transactions between August 22 and September 13. When the MLA came to know about this, the ground slipped beneath his feet. At present, the police have registered an FIR in this matter and have started investigation.
Illegal withdrawal of money through phone-pay and UPI
MLA Pooja Pal's account is in the branch of Union Bank of India located in Dhumanganj, Prayagraj. In his complaint to the police, he said that between August 22 and September 13, money was withdrawn from his bank account several times through PhonePe and UPI.
When he came to know about this fraud on September 14, he immediately got the statement of his bank account. The bank's investigation revealed that several such transactions totaling Rs 1.55 lakh had taken place in the account, about which it had no knowledge. The MLA has expressed deep apprehension that some miscreant has hacked his iPhone 17 Air, due to which there is a big risk of his banking and personal data being leaked. Now the police and cyber cell team has started technical investigation of their mobile, phone-pay, UPI and bank accounts.
MLA demands technical investigation of all transactions and phones
After this big fraud came to light, MLA Pooja Pal has demanded from the cyber crime police that all the phone-pay and UPI transactions done between August 22 and September 13 should be thoroughly investigated. He has insisted on getting the ID of all transactions, bank account details as well as his mobile phone technically checked.
Further, he has demanded that any further illegal withdrawal from his account be immediately stopped and approximately Rs 1.55 lakh withdrawn from his account be returned. One copy each of this complaint has also been handed over to Cyber Crime Police Station Prayagraj, Dhumanganj Police Station and the manager of the concerned bank branch. The police is investigating this entire matter closely from every angle.
