Tezzbuzz Desk- A massive fire suddenly broke out in Shriram Villa Building located in Kamta Tola of Satna on Friday. Many people were trapped on the third floor amid the fire and smoke. The fire department and administration team reached the spot and started the rescue operation, in which 3 children were taken out safely.
As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and started efforts to extinguish the fire and rescue the people trapped in the building. After receiving information that children were trapped on the third floor, the administration tried to rescue them on priority basis. Lifter machine was also called to the spot for rescue. Firefighters tried to rescue the children by reaching the third floor amidst the fire and dense smoke. Three children were taken out safely during the rescue operation. At the same time, according to the information, two women are still trapped in the building. Rescue operations are underway to bring them out safely.
After receiving information about the incident, police and administration officials including Municipal Corporation Commissioner Nagarjun Gowda, City SDM Rahul Siladiya and CSP Devendra Singh Chauhan reached the spot. The officials along with the fire team took stock of the relief and rescue operations and monitored the entire operation.
The administration has instructed the people present nearby to maintain a safe distance, so that there is no hindrance in the rescue work. At present the cause of the fire has not been known. The damage caused by the fire will also be assessed after the completion of the rescue operation. Police and administration teams are continuously monitoring the situation.
