Lalganj (Rae Bareli). The outbreak of white disease on the standing paddy crop in Aihar village of the area has become a cause of concern for the farmers. Paddy crop in many fields is getting affected due to disease. Farmers are worried due to the fear of crop failure and are spraying medicines in the fields to save their crops. According to the farmers, after the symptoms of white disease started appearing in the paddy crop, the crop is gradually getting affected.
If the disease is not controlled in time, farmers may have to suffer financial losses. At present, the paddy crop is standing in the fields, in such a situation the increasing outbreak of disease has increased the worries of the farmers. To save the crop, the farmers are spraying agricultural medicines at their level. Farmers say that despite spraying of medicines, if the disease is not effectively controlled then there is a possibility of production being affected.
Farmers have demanded the Agriculture Department to reach the villages and inspect the paddy crop and to provide information about proper medicine and spraying along with correct identification of the disease. Farmers of the area including Ramcharan Yadav, Ramkishun, Ram Prasad Yadav, Sachin Savita, Bhadali Paswan, Anshu Nirmal, Rakesh Nirmal, Rajendra Shukla and Devkumar Yadav got the medicines sprayed to save the crop.
