During the conversation, Radhika told that after seeing her initial work, many people started believing that she would easily be ready to do bold or nude scenes. After this, she received such offers many times which surprised her.
Radhika told that in the initial phase of her career she had done nude scenes in some films. After this, a perception was formed about him in the industry that he was comfortable doing such scenes. According to the actress, many people later started expecting her to do such scenes. She had to explain again and again that a previous work does not mean that she will change her boundaries in every project.
The actress told that when she was given such offers, she used to question the person in front as to what was the need of that scene. Many times he got the answer that do it a little or do it for a few seconds. Radhika said that it was important for her to understand what is the importance of a scene in the story and for what purpose it is being kept.
In the same conversation, Radhika also shared her experience related to an action sequence. He told that he was asked to do an action scene on a shooting set. When she was ready for this, she was told that the buttons of her shirt should not be closed during this period. Radhika questioned that if she was doing action then the clothes might naturally move from their place. But after this she was asked to do this entire action sequence only in bra and innerwear.
Radhika told that after hearing this she asked the person in front as to what they were trying to get her to do. According to him, such demands regarding action scenes and clothes had made him uncomfortable. While sharing this experience, the actress also said that during the shooting, sometimes such situations come in front of the actors where they have to clarify their boundaries.
Even before this, Radhika Apte has openly expressed her opinion regarding bold roles and intimate scenes. In the year 2016, a picture and video of a nude scene from her film Parched came into discussion. At that time the actress had said that she was not particularly bothered by the media attention she received for this scene. He said that there was a reference to that scene in the film and the entire film should not be limited to that scene only.
