Madhubani Eco Park (Madhubani Park) was built in this mind-blowing environment during the left era. Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad has taken the initiative to renovate this tourist center which was practically destroyed due to neglect during the Trinamool period. One crore has been allocated for the renovation work. It is reported that Madhubani Eco Park will be opened for tourists before Puja.

This center was once a place of great attraction for tourists visiting Dooars. It is alleged that the Trinamool government was in a bad state due to lack of reforms. Tourist accommodation was destroyed. Gradually the traffic of tourists practically stopped. Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad has started the renovation work vigorously to decorate the Madhubani tourist center in a new form before Puja. An initiative has been taken to renovate eight cottages, amusement park and lighting infrastructure at a cost of Rs.
Initially Madhubani tourist center was under the control of Dhupaguri Panchayat Samiti. Later, when Banarhat block was separated from Dhupguri, the tourist center came under Banarhat Panchayat Samiti. Then it was handed over to Jalpaiguri District Council. But even after coming under the Zilla Parishad, the renovation work has not started for several years, it is alleged. Locals are happy that the renovation work has finally started again.
It is known that along with the renovation of the eight lodging houses of the tourist center, development and lighting arrangements will be made for the amusement park. There are also plans to develop adequate lighting systems in areas that have been in darkness for a long time. Preparations are underway to complete the work before Puja and launch the tourist center for tourists. Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad Vice President Seema Chowdhury said, “There are several natural and cultural resources around Madhubani to increase the attraction of tourists. Adjacent are Madhubani forest, Khattibari forest of Maraghat range and Totapara forest. In addition to Bandurga puja in Totapara, tourists can also get a chance to see local culture and tribal dance.
