Political activities have started intensifying in Uttar Pradesh regarding the 2027 assembly elections. Along with strengthening the organization, BJP has also started increasing communication with its allies and those leaders about whom political discussions have been taking place in recent times.
Tezzbuzz Desk- Two pictures of BJP's activism came to light on Saturday. On one hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Rae Bareli Sadar BJP MLA Aditi Singh, while on the other hand, party's state in-charge and national general secretary Vinod Tawde reached Gorakhpur to meet Nishad Party President and Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad at his office. The context of both the meetings is different, but these developments reveal a picture of increasing emphasis on dialogue and coordination between the BJP and its allies.
Sanjay Nishad's meeting with Tawde is considered important because Nishad Party has been raising various issues related to Nishad community for a long time. Sanjay Nishad has been presenting his views before the government and BJP leadership regarding many demands including reservation. During the meeting, issues like Nishad reservation, withdrawal of cases related to the movement, definition of Majwar and Turha communities and giving representation to party workers in various commissions were discussed.
Sanjay Nishad also demanded to take initiative at the level of Social Justice Ministry on the issue of reservation. This indicates that the conversation was not limited to preparations for the upcoming elections, but pending issues related to the community also remained at the center of discussion.
After the Vinod Sahni murder case in Gonda, political activities regarding Nishad community have also increased. Sanjay Nishad had registered his reaction regarding this matter. After this, opposition parties also increased their activism among the Nishad community. In such an environment, BJP's state in-charge visiting Sanjay Nishad's office and meeting him is being seen as an attempt to maintain dialogue within the alliance.
Vinod Tawde's visit to Gorakhpur is also important from organizational point of view. Before the 2027 elections, BJP is gathering feedback about the position of the organization, opinion of workers and local political equations in different areas. After Gorakhpur, party meetings are also proposed in Awadh and Kashi regions. In such a situation, the meeting with Sanjay Nishad amidst organizational programs is also being seen in the context of broader political dialogue.
On the other hand, BJP MLA from Rae Bareli Sadar Aditi Singh met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This meeting took place at a time when speculations about his return to Congress were a topic of discussion in political circles. However, after the meeting, Aditi Singh termed it as a courtesy call and informed about discussing issues related to the development of Rae Bareli and public interest with the Chief Minister.
After the picture of the meeting of Aditi Singh and Yogi Adityanath surfaced, the ongoing discussions regarding their political stance also got a new direction. However, no specific political strategy has been officially announced by BJP regarding this meeting.
Before the 2027 elections, BJP faces the challenge of strengthening the organization as well as maintaining coordination between allies and different social groups. Considering the role of Nishad community in the politics of Purvanchal, dialogue with Nishad Party can be an important part of the party's election preparations.
At the same time, there has been continuous discussion about the role of Aditi Singh in a politically important area like Rae Bareli. In such a situation, it is natural for his meeting with the Chief Minister to become public and become a topic of political discussion.
If we look at these two developments together, it can definitely be said that BJP is giving priority to communication with its organization, allies and key leaders before the 2027 elections. However, seeing these meetings directly as a major political change or damage control is not officially confirmed by the BJP at present.
