Police has revealed important information regarding the murder of BJP leader Uma Bhushan Tanti alias Pappu Tanti in Bhagalpur. According to the police, a contract worth Rs 3 lakh was issued for the murder of Shreenarayan Sah Mandal Mandal President Pappu Tanti. During investigation, police arrested main shooter Akshay Yadav and alleged liner Suman Kumar. According to the police, the reasons behind the murder are state animosity, dominance in the campus and a dispute related to the Kali Temple construction committee at Qutubganj. In this case, former corporator and BJP leader Shashi Modi has been said to be the main culprit. Shashi Modi has already surrendered in the court, while his wife Deepika Kumari has been arrested by the police and sent to jail. According to the police, Pappu Tanti was murdered on 11 September 2026 at around 10 am in the morning at Rosie Babarganj police station Hadditil, Qutubganj Kumbhar Toli.
