More than 51 thousand youth got appointment letters in the 20th employment fair.
Saturday was a very special and historic day for more than 51 thousand youth of the country who were dreaming of government jobs. During the organization of the 20th Employment Fair, appointment letters for government jobs were handed over to all these eligible youth. The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi specially participated in this grand program through video conferencing and heartily congratulated all the employees appointed on new posts.
The penance of parents and the real responsibility of government service.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi did not limit the joy of getting a job only to the youth, but also specifically mentioned the hard work and penance of their parents and the entire family. The PM said that behind this big achievement is the hard work of the youth as well as the great sacrifice of their families. Now the real responsibility of these youth begins. After entering government service, the work of every employee is directly connected with the life of some common citizen. A single file moving in the office can make someone's work stuck and your small signature can solve someone's biggest problem forever.
From pension of elders to scholarship of students, youth should be sensitive
While explaining a very important thing to the new employees, the Prime Minister said that the responsibility of the job for which the youth have worked so hard to get is equally big. There could be a matter of pending pension of an elderly person in the society, there could be a scholarship file of a needy student, or there could be a case of an Annadata farmer waiting for government assistance. In such sensitive matters, the role of any government employee should not be limited to just completing paper formalities, but his good behavior also matters a lot. PM Modi appealed to all the new employees to work with complete honesty, sensitivity and speed. He said that the youth should always take such decisions which will strengthen the country's bigger goal of 'Developed India' and 'Self-reliant India'.
Hard work of youth and dream of developed India of 2047
From the platform of the employment fair, PM Modi emphasized that the youth power of the country is going to play the most important role in this grand goal of making 'Developed India' by the year 2047. He said that today the eyes of the whole world are focused on the youth of India, its startups and new ideas and the world has a lot of expectations from us. The Prime Minister urged the newly appointed employees to take such steps while in government service that will give impetus to the campaign of making the country self-reliant.
New avenues of employment are opening up in government as well as private sector.
The Prime Minister also openly discussed the changing scope of employment in the country. He said that in today's time, job opportunities are not limited only to the government sector, but new opportunities are also being created very fast in the private sector. According to the PM, due to the free trade agreements made by India with about 40 countries, new markets are opening up for our businessmen across the world. With this, there is every hope that along with the growth of business in the country, countless new avenues of employment will be created for the youth.
Skill India, modern ITI and increasing scope of startups
The Prime Minister also specifically mentioned several schemes related to skill development. He gave information about 'Skill India' and the new education policy as well as initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and apprenticeship. According to the PM, a huge investment of Rs 60 thousand crores is being made to make about 1,000 government ITI institutes of the country completely modern and hi-tech, so that today's youth can be taught the best skills as per the changing needs.
Along with this, the Prime Minister praised the increasing participation of the youth of small towns of the country in the startup sector. He said with pride that today India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. According to the PM, almost half of the recognized startups of our country are now emerging from Tier-2 and Tier-3 i.e. small cities. This clearly means that now the scope of new businesses and unique ideas is not limited only to big metros.
Scheme to connect with first job and message to youth
To promote employment in the private sector, the Prime Minister also mentioned 'Pradhan Mantri Vikas Bharat Rojgar Yojana'. According to the government, the main goal of this ambitious scheme of about Rs 1 lakh crore is to connect two crore youth of the country with formal employment for the first time. Through this wonderful platform of the employment fair, the PM proved how serious the government is in increasing employment opportunities in the government jobs as well as in the private sector.
At the end of the program, the Prime Minister once again reminded the newly appointed employees of the huge responsibility. He said that getting a job is a big achievement in itself, but after this the phase of real public service begins. The good behavior of the employees towards every citizen who comes to the government office with some hope and expectation and the speed of work decides what kind of experience the common man has towards the government.
