Hyderabad. Hyderabad’s well-known neurosurgeon Dr Kaskurti Jagadish died in a tragic road accident on Sunday morning in Suryapet district of Telangana. His Volvo car suddenly lost control and collided with the divider on the Khammam-Hyderabad Highway. After the collision, a massive fire broke out in the car and within some time the entire vehicle was burnt to ashes. The accident happened near Pillamari area of Suryapet at around 7:15 am. There was chaos at the spot after the incident. Passersby immediately informed the police and fire department.
Car caught fire after hitting divider
According to preliminary information, Dr. Kaskurti Jagadish was going from Khammam to Hyderabad in a Volvo car. Meanwhile, his car suddenly went out of control near Pillamari and hit the divider in the middle of the road. After the collision, fire spread rapidly in the car. Within no time the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire was so severe that even the people present nearby could not reach near the car.
The car was completely burnt by the time the fire brigade arrived.
As soon as information about the accident was received, police and fire department teams reached the spot. The fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control after a lot of effort. However, by then the car was completely burnt. Even the doctor present inside the car could not be saved. He died on the spot due to burns and suffocation in the fire. Police identified the deceased on the basis of the vehicle’s registration number.
Dr. Jagdish was a neurosurgeon in Mamta Hospital.
According to the police, Dr. Kaskurti Jagadish worked as a neurosurgeon at Mamta Hospital in Khammam. It is reported that he was returning to Hyderabad after finishing work to meet his family. After the news of the accident came out, there is a wave of mourning in the medical field and their acquaintances. Police have started the process of sending the body for post-mortem.
Fear of dozing off, investigation on many aspects
In the initial investigation of the police, it is suspected that the doctor may have dozed off while driving. Due to this the car went out of control and collided with the divider. However, the police have not yet confirmed the cause of the accident. Investigating officials say that all possible aspects are being investigated to find out the real reason behind the accident. The forensic team has collected burnt remains and other important evidence from the spot.
Police busy in finding out the circumstances of the accident
Police are now trying to find out what was the speed of the car just before the accident and what was the reason for the vehicle going out of control. The investigation is being carried forward on the basis of evidence found from the incident site and the vehicle. At present this tragic accident has given a deep shock to a family. The clear cause of the accident is expected to emerge after the police investigation is completed.
