Delhi to Abu Dhabi flight cancelled, technical glitch occurred before take off; 200 people trapped

About 200 passengers going to Abu Dhabi faced problems at Delhi airport late Saturday evening. Etihad Airways flight EY217 was canceled due to a technical snag before takeoff. After the cancellation of the flight, passengers now had to find other options for their further journey.

 

According to the information, flight EY217 was to depart from Delhi for Abu Dhabi at 9:15 pm on Saturday night. The passengers had boarded the plane as per the scheduled time. Meanwhile, the crew informed about a technical problem in the plane. After this, about 200 passengers were deboarded from the plane. Passengers were hopeful that the flight would depart after the fault was resolved, but after waiting for several hours, the airline announced the cancellation of the flight.

According to the passengers, after getting information about the technical problem, they were asked to come out of the plane. After this they kept waiting at the airport for the flight to take off again. After the flight was cancelled, passengers had to find other options to reach their destination. The travel plans of passengers were also affected due to the sudden cancellation of flights.

According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, this Etihad flight was to be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. However, no immediate information has been revealed as to what kind of technical fault had occurred in the plane.
