Umesh Yadav: Indian cricket team's experienced fast bowler Umesh Yadav has severed ties with Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA). He has obtained No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play for a team from any other state in the upcoming domestic season 2026-27. 38 year old fast bowler Umesh Yadav himself has confirmed that he is ready to move ahead in his career and recently he is in talks with some other state associations.
Umesh Yadav left Vidarbha team
Umesh Yadav's decision to leave Vidarbha team has not come suddenly. The selectors of Vidarbha Cricket Association were not presenting any clear picture regarding his future and his role in the team. Umesh Yadav, who played an important role in making Vidarbha the Ranji Trophy champion twice in domestic cricket, is now looking for a new challenge and better opportunities.
While talking to The Indian Express, Umesh Yadav confirmed his big decision. He said, “I have decided to move on from the Vidarbha team. I have got the No Objection Certificate from the Vidarbha Cricket Association. Currently, I am in talks with some other state cricket associations and will soon decide which team I want to represent in the upcoming season.

Umesh's journey has been wonderful for Vidarbha
Umesh Yadav, who started his cricket career from Nagpur, made his first-class debut against Madhya Pradesh in the year 2008. In his very first Ranji season, he took 20 wickets at an incredible average of 14.60, after which he made his place in Team India on the basis of his speed. His journey with the Vidarbha team was very historic. He played a big role in taking the team to the top of Indian domestic cricket. Umesh Yadav has played 141 matches for India in all three formats. He played his last match for Team India in the final of the 2023 World Test Championship against Australia at The Oval.
