Prayagraj. Nishad Samaj Party chief and UP government minister Sanjay Nishad addressed a public meeting in Prayagraj on Sunday. During this, he said that, I salute and express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart to the lakhs of godlike brothers, mothers and youth of the society present in the “Constitutional Nishad/Machua SC Reservation Rights Huge Conference” organized in Prayagraj today. This massive turnout is proof that now the fishermen community has woken up and is fully mobilized for their rights.

He said, the biggest power in democracy is the 'button' pressed in the right direction. Cyclists recognized their power, pressed the button and took millions of jobs into their homes. The elephant people understood the teachings of Honorable Kanshiram ji – they tied their flag on the stick with which they once used to suffer helplessness and today there are dozens of government jobs in every village.
Now I ask you – for how long will you carry the flag of slavery of others on the pole with which you set nets and fishing rods in the river? Plant the flag of your self-respect on it. We do not want to be sold on liquor and some temptations, we want respect, government treasury and permanent jobs for our children. We have 18% population in Uttar Pradesh, if we recognize our political strength then lakhs of government jobs will go directly to the homes of the youth of Nishad-Kashyap community. For this no one needs to pick up a gun, they just have to understand the power of their vote and the right button. I did not do this struggle for any position or comfort.
Sanjay Nishad said, I spent 7 months in the jungles fighting for your rights, 37 of our innocent comrades were imprisoned, and even today a case under Section 302 is going on against me. I want to make it clear to the society – even if I have to be hanged for the rights of the society, I will do it with a smile, but I will die only after getting your constitutional part written. Our demand is very clear and constitutional: The fishermen community should be stopped from being included in the OBC category.
According to the Presidential Notification of 1950, all the sub-castes of the society under 'Majhwar' (No. 53) and 'Turaiha' (No. 66) recorded in the Scheduled Caste (SC) list of Uttar Pradesh should be immediately and unquestionably issued their genuine Scheduled Caste (SC) certificates. This battle is not just about election speeches, but a battle to be fought with facts and solid constitutional process. The descendants of Nishadraj Guhya will neither stop nor get tired without achieving their full constitutional rights.
