West Indies squad vs India: West Indies has announced its team for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against India. The Caribbean team will play 3 ODI and 5 T20 International matches against India. This series between the two teams will run from September 27 to October 17 and the matches will be played in eight different cities.
Experienced opener John Campbell has returned to the ODI team. Campbell could not play in the last two ODI matches against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury. Now he will return in the series against India. The captaincy of the ODI team will be in the hands of Shai Hope.
Hetmyer did not get a place in the ODI team
West Indies has also included young batsman Jewel Andrew in the ODI team. He has got a chance in the team in place of Akeem Auguste. Auguste is not fully fit yet after the surgery in August and is recovering. At the same time, explosive batsman Shimron Hetmyer has not got a place in the ODI team. He played the last two ODI matches against New Zealand, but now he has been rested. However, Hetmyer will return in the T20 series against India. After the Caribbean Premier League, he has been given extra time for recovery.

The ODI series between India and West Indies will not only be a bilateral match, but will also be important for the preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
