Thailand’s Bangkok ranked second in a list of 10 cities with the highest number of repeat foreign visitors in Asia in the first half of this year, according to booking data from online travel platform Agoda.
The Thai capital only trailed Japan’s Tokyo.
Indonesia’s popular resort island Bali ranked third, followed by Seoul and Osaka.
Vietnam's beach city Da Nang ranked sixth, ahead of Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Taipei, and Johor Bahru.
According to Agoda, Bangkok is loved by foreign tourists for its incredible street food, historic temples, and vibrant nightlife at affordable prices.

Bangkok retained its title as the world’s most visited city for 2025 with over 30.3 million international visitors, according to an annual report released by British research firm Euromonitor International.
Known for neon-lit entertainment districts with hundreds of rooftop bars and electronic dance music clubs, Bangkok was recently also voted the world’s best city for nightlife by British magazine Time Out.
