Tata Motors has added a new and special model to the lineup of its popular SUV Sierra. The company has officially launched Tata Sierra DARK Edition in India. The starting ex-showroom price of this new black-out edition has been kept at Rs 13.99 lakh, while the price of the top model goes up to Rs 21.59 lakh. The company has introduced Sierra DARK Edition with Frisian Black paint scheme. Its exterior has been given a black-out theme, while inside the cabin has been given a premium and sporty look with Violet Eclipse theme and Purple Chrome elements.
Which variants of Sierra DARK Edition?
Tata Sierra DARK Edition has been made available across the entire variant range of the Legend Series. Customers can buy it in Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, Adventure+ L, Accomplished and Accomplished+ variants.
According to the company, the main changes in the Dark Edition are related to its look and cosmetic design. Rest of the features and specifications are similar to the respective standard Sierra variants.
Price goes up to Rs 21.59 lakh
The price of the new Tata Sierra DARK Edition starts at Rs 13.99 lakh ex-showroom. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of its most expensive Accomplished+ DARK variant is Rs 21.59 lakh.
The company has launched it with many engine and gearbox combinations. This includes options like petrol-manual, petrol-DCA, diesel-manual, diesel-automatic and petrol-hybrid automatic.
Black exterior and purple themed cabin
The biggest attraction of Sierra DARK Edition is its new look. The SUV has been given a completely blacked-out exterior theme, which makes it different from the standard model.
The cabin has Violet Eclipse theme with black leather finished seats. Apart from this, Purple Chrome accents are found at many places, which give a sporty and premium touch to the interior.
three engine options
Tata Sierra DARK Edition is offered with three major engine options.
1.5-litre Revotron petrol engine:
This naturally aspirated petrol engine generates 106 hp power and 145 Nm torque. It has the option of 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi petrol engine:
The turbo petrol engine gives power of 160 hp and torque of 255 Nm. It has the option of 6-speed automatic transmission.
1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine:
The diesel engine generates power of 118 hp. It produces 260 Nm of peak torque with the manual gearbox and 280 Nm with the automatic. Both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic options are available in it.
