The problems of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab are continuously increasing. The party had not yet emerged from the Gulzar Singh suicide case when Jagga Singh, a resident of Sangrur, tried to commit suicide outside the DC office. Jagga Singh had raised his voice against drugs being sold in the area and had posted a video regarding this on social media. The victim alleges that after the video surfaced, the village sarpanch and his associates started harassing him continuously. After this he tried to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance outside the DC office.
A video of Jagga Singh has surfaced in which he is accusing the village sarpanch of not allowing him to speak against drugs and has also got his video deleted. He alleged that the Sarpanch came to my house with a revolver. Threatened me and broke the CCTV cameras of the house.

Why did you eat poison?
Jagga Singh swallowed poison outside the DM office on Sunday, after which he was admitted to Patiala Medical College for treatment. Jagga said, 'I had gone to show the video to Punjab government minister and AAP state president Aman Arora, but I was stopped and sent to the DSP. DSP asked to go to SHO. When no hearing took place, I was forced to swallow poison.
What did the police tell?
Sangrur SSP Ravjot Kaur Grewal said that Sangrur youth Jagga Singh, who consumed poison outside the Deputy Commissioner's office, has been admitted to the hospital. He told that now he is out of danger. According to SSP, 9 cases are already registered against Jagga. There are 4 other prescriptions that are undertrial. A case of rape was also registered against Jagga earlier. On September 12, Jagga shared a video on social media. In that he had threatened the police that if action was not taken in his case, he would commit suicide.
SSP Ravjot Kaur Grewal said that forcing or blackmailing any public servant to do any work is a legal offense. On the same day, a DDR was registered in this matter and the area magistrate was informed. This is a legal process. He told that the Panchayat says that he was stopped due to suspicion of being involved in suspicious activities. According to the SSP, due to this reason there was a dispute going on between the two parties and Jagga Singh had filed a complaint.

FIR registered on wife's complaint
SSP Ravjot Kaur Grewal said that Jagga Singh's wife has lodged a complaint, on the basis of which an FIR has been registered. However, the FIR has been declared false by the Panchayat. The Panchayat claims that Jagga Singh was politically instigated. The Panchayat says that anyone who deals in drugs in the village is stopped and Jagga was upset about this.
