A good news has emerged for those who want to get a job in National Book Trust (NBT). NBT has announced vacancies by releasing an official notification on its official website for the appointment of eligible candidates to various 17 posts of Editorial Assistant.
17 vacancies released by NBT include Editorial Assistant (Telugu), Editorial Assistant (Kannada), Editorial Assistant (Oriya), Editorial Assistant (Gujarati), Editorial Assistant (Malayalam), Editorial Assistant (Bodo), Editorial Assistant (Dogri), Editorial Assistant (Kashmiri), Editorial Assistant (Konkani), Editorial Assistant (Manipuri), Editorial Assistant (Maithali), Editorial Assistant (Nepali), Editorial Assistant (Sanskrit), Editorial Assistant (Sindhi), Editorial Assistant (Santhali), Editorial Assistant (Punjabi) and Editorial Assistant (Hindi) 1 post each.
The application process for all these posts of Editorial Assistant is going on through online medium from 15th September and the last date to apply has been fixed after 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement on the website of the Trust i.e. 30th September. In such a situation, the candidates who want to fill the application form to be appointed to these posts are advised to visit the official website of National Book Trust and complete their registration process within the stipulated time limit.
It is mandatory for the candidates applying to have a graduation degree from a recognized institute or university. At the same time, preference will be given to those having Master’s degree in the language related to the post. Additionally, candidates must have at least 1 year of working experience in the editorial department of a publishing house; Translation, copy editing, proof reading, excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must have knowledge of computer applications like Adobe Page Maker, InDesign, Page Designing, DTP composing and typesetting etc. in the relevant language.
The maximum age of the applicants has been fixed at 40 years. However, candidates coming from reserved category will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per rules. Whereas, the salary of the selected candidates will be between Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 per month.
Candidates should note that these appointments from NBT will be entirely on contract basis through manpower agency initially for three months, which can be extended further as per the requirement of the Trust.
