New Delhi. An undertrial prisoner has been murdered in Delhi's Rohini jail. It is being told that other prisoners inside the jail attacked him with a sharp weapon and he got badly injured. The policemen posted in the jail immediately took the undertrial prisoner to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Pramod. He was in jail in a case related to the Arms Act. Two prisoners Bhola and Mukesh are accused of Pramod's murder. The police is investigating what is the real reason behind the murder.
According to media reports, prisoner Pramod used to sell tobacco to other prisoners in the jail. He had a dispute with other prisoners regarding this matter. It is suspected that Pramod was attacked with a sharp weapon after this dispute. However, the police is not considering it as a case of gang war. The jail administration has sent the body of the deceased prisoner to the mortuary. Information is being gathered in this matter by interrogating other prisoners. At present, the jail administration is trying to find out how the sharp weapon came inside the jail despite such tight security arrangements.
Let us tell you that bloody conflict between prisoners in jail is not a new thing. Earlier in February this year, terrorist Abdul Rehman, lodged in Neemka jail of Faridabad, Haryana, was murdered. Arun Chaudhary, a prisoner lodged in the same jail, had hit Abdul Rehman on the head with a sharp object, due to which he died. Abdul Rehman had conspired to attack in Ayodhya. Just a few days before the murder, he was shifted from Jammu and Kashmir jail to Neemka jail.
