The third day of the 2026 Asian Games, Monday (September 21), was a strong one for the Indian contingent, winning a total of four medals. Apart from defeating Pakistan twice, Indian players also won medals. They also beat Bangladesh. With six medals, India finished 12th in the medal tally. On Monday, September 21, India won 4 medals
These four medals came in shooting and MMA. There were also three medals in shooting. The trio of Rudraksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane won the silver medal in the 10m air rifle team event. Himanshu then won the silver medal in the individual final and Rudraksh the bronze medal in the individual final. In the rest of the mixed martial arts, Suchika Tariaal won the bronze medal in the women’s traditional -60 kg category.
Defeated Pakistan twice in table tennis
Indian men’s and women’s teams beat Pakistan 3-0. Sutirtha Mukherjee defeated Alina Khan 3-0, Cinderella Das defeated Kalsum Khan 3-0 and Srija Akula defeated Fatima Khan 3-0. Harmeet Desai then beat Mohammad Khan 3-0 for the Indian men’s team, G. Sathian defeated Abbas Khan 3-0 and Pais Jain defeated Mohammad Khan 3-0. With this, both the Indian teams made it to the quarter finals.
Amazing Women’s Team in Kabaddi
Indian women’s kabaddi team beat Bangladesh 42-21 in their Group A encounter. India dominated both the halves. Team India will play next match against Iran on Wednesday.
Men’s team beat Japan in Kabaddi
Indian men’s kabaddi team completed their impressive performance by defeating Japan 49-24. The team will play Korea next Tuesday.
Amazing performance from India in Badminton
Indian men’s badminton team beat Bangladesh 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals. The trio of Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty and K Srikanth performed without losing a single match.

Indian women’s hockey team defeated Indonesia by a huge margin of 17-1.
