Available sales figures for August 2026 show that the demand for electric two-wheelers in India is on the rise. The total sales of the mentioned 15 models reached 1,87,214 units. In August 2025, the same number was 76,118 units. That means an increase of 1,11,096 units in one year and a cumulative increase of 146% in sales.
Bajaj Chetak took the lead
Bajaj Chetak topped the list with the highest sales of 52,248 units. Chetak sales increased by 273% this time compared to 14,014 units in August 2025. This model recorded high sales of 38,234 units accounting for around 27.9% of the total stated sales.

TVS iQube and orbiter performance
TVS iQube came second with 42,882 units. 24,434 units were sold in the same month last year, a growth of 76%. TVS Orbiter also recorded sales of 14,641 units. The combined sales of both models stood at 57,523 units, which is about 30.7% of the total figure in this list.
Hero Vida and Ether Rizta also sold well
Hero Vida took the third position with 25,558 units. Sales increased by 108% compared to last year's 12,273 units. Ether Rizta remained fourth with 22,586 units and saw a 30% increase in its sales. Aether's mentioned models Rizta, 450 and Konark sold a combined 29,694 units.

Performance of other models
Greaves Magnus sold 9,772 units, while River Indy recorded 6,567 units, a 195% increase. Greaves Rio sold 1,911 units, a growth of 272%. Honda QC1 sales stood at 1,902 units. Suzuki e-Access, Yamaha EC06 and Honda Activa E recorded sales of 668, 475 and 140 units respectively. Chetak, iQube, Vida and Rizta accounted for about 76.5% of the overall figure.
