A matrimonial dispute came into limelight in the Punjab and Haryana High Court when its settlement faced financial constraints. Due to the shortage of Rs 15 thousand, the husband was in a dilemma, after which the lawyers present there helped the husband to settle the dispute. Actually, the husband agreed to pay Rs 3 lakh to his wife in the court, but the wife was adamant on Rs 3.15 lakh for the final settlement. But the husband did not have Rs 15,000 to pay.
Explaining his financial constraints, the husband said that his mother is paralyzed. He also told that to pay Rs 3 lakh, he will have to raise money by borrowing from relatives and friends. After seeing this situation, the lawyers present in the court were heartbroken and four lawyers collected money on their behalf and gave it to the husband. Only then could the agreement between husband and wife become clear.

Both sides agreed to end the dispute
The wife had filed a petition demanding transfer of her husband's divorce petition from the family court to the competent court in Ludhiana. During the hearing, both the parties agreed to end the marital dispute. This matter came up for hearing before the bench of Justice Harkesh Manuja.
During the hearing, it came to light before the court that the husband is ready to give Rs 3 lakh to the wife as permanent maintenance and return the furniture. Later the wife said that some of her gold jewelery is still with her husband and he is refusing to return them.
Wife agreed to final settlement for Rs 3.15 lakh
After this, after persuasion by the lawyers of both the parties, the wife agreed to the final settlement of Rs 3.15 lakh. The husband expressed his inability to raise additional Rs 15,000 and said that he did not have that much money. He told the court that he was also arranging Rs 3 lakh with help from family and friends.

Four lawyers together raised Rs 15 thousand
During the hearing, four lawyers in the court offered to pay Rs 15,000. Advocate Sachin Jain was the first to take the initiative and offer five thousand rupees. Apart from this, lawyer Rahul Rathore offered five thousand rupees, Chandrakant Thakur offered Rs 2500 and Raj Kumar offered Rs 2500. In this way an arrangement of Rs 15 thousand was made immediately.
An amount of Rs 15,000 was immediately sent online to the husband. The husband also immediately sent it to his wife. The court made it clear in its order that this contribution of the lawyers was completely voluntary and of their own free will. Its purpose was only to help in reaching an agreement between the two parties.
The court praised the lawyers
The court recorded the terms of the agreement in writing and took it on its record. The High Court, along with the lawyers from both sides, praised the initiative of the four lawyers who raised the money.
