While BJP is dreaming of scoring a hat-trick of victories, the main opposition party Samajwadi Party is hoping for its comeback. In this context, SP leaders have already started making big claims, but their claims are being exposed by their own allies i.e. the leaders of the alliance partner Congress Party. Let us tell you who will take command of the election fight against BJP? On this issue, SP MP from Kairana Iqra Hasan said that Congress alone cannot achieve anything special in UP? Along with this, he claimed that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is the only leader who can defeat BJP in Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that Iqra had said on Monday that this is a completely stupid statement. I think if anyone can defeat BJP in Uttar Pradesh, it is only Akhilesh Yadav. Congress will not be able to do anything alone. If the alliance continues, it will be great. If it is not made, the loss will be theirs (Congress's), not ours.
Congress leaders immediately retaliated on this statement of Iqra. Congress MP from Saharanpur Imran Masood said that even she (Iqra Hasan) cannot do this alone. Iqra is like our niece. On the other hand, Congress leader Udit Raj has also raised questions on Iqra's claim. He mentioned the performance of SP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Udit Raj said that maybe this is her (Iqra Hasan's) own statement, but we can understand it from an example, when the alliance was formed in 2024, Samajwadi Party won 36 seats. How was his performance before that? In 2019, Samajwadi Party had only six MPs. Therefore, in politics one plus one is not always two. One and one can also be eleven. So, I think they should correct their understanding.
Now BJP has also jumped into the rhetoric of SP vs Congress. Uttar Pradesh BJP Vice President Neeraj Singh said that Congress will not be able to achieve anything alone in the entire country. Even if it forms an alliance with Samajwadi Party or any other party in Uttar Pradesh, the people of Uttar Pradesh have formed an alliance with the BJP government in their hearts.
