In Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, an incident of firing came to light after a dispute during the puja going on in a house on Tuesday evening, in which the death of a woman and two Pandits has been reported. The matter is of Shambhupur village of Ahraula police station area. Police and forensic team have reached the spot and are collecting evidence. With this the police has told the whole story.
According to preliminary information, worship was going on in the house. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between the owner of the house Arvind Singh and the pundits who had come to perform the puja regarding showing the Aadhaar card. It is alleged that after the dispute escalated, Arvind Singh fired from the pistol. Two Pandits including his wife lost their lives in the incident.
1. Pooja was going on in the house
According to reports, puja was going on in Arvind Singh's house in Shambhupur village since Monday. Two Pandits were present at home to conduct the puja.
2. Arvind returned home from the market
It was told that Arvind returned home from the market on Tuesday evening. After this he had an argument with the pundits over some issue.
3. Controversy regarding asking for Aadhar card
Initial reports claim that Arvind asked for Aadhaar card from the two Pandits who were conducting the puja. Controversy increased regarding showing Aadhaar card. However, the entire reason for the dispute will become clear only after police investigation.
4. Bullets fired after dispute
It is alleged that after an argument Arvind fired from the pistol. His wife and both the Pandits were injured by the bullets.
5. Three people died
Information about the death of Arvind's wife and both the Pandits has come to light in the incident. In some reports, the names of Pandits have been mentioned as Mahendra Pathak and Akhilesh Mishra, but the final confirmation of the names and events is yet to be done from the police/postmortem report.
6. Accused locked in house after firing
According to media reports, the accused had locked himself inside the house after the incident. His elderly mother and children are also said to be present in the house at that time.

As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot. The forensic team along with the police force started the process of collecting evidence from the spot.
