The Superintendent of Police has taken suspension action against the guilty police personnel in the case of demolition of a house with JCB at midnight of 20th September in Bariyawan market of Akbarpur Kotwali area. Inspector Santosh Kumar Singh, in-charge of Kotwali Akbarpur, has been suspended with immediate effect in the case of house land. Along with the station in-charge, local light incharge Ajay Kumar, head constable Santosh Kumar Pandey and constable Upendra Yadav have also been suspended. All these police personnel have been suspended on the orders of Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh for being lax in their work.
A departmental inquiry has also been proposed against all of them. According to the order issued by the Superintendent of Police, on the night of 20 September 2026, an incident of demolition of houses and shops of Ramkishore son of Ram Asare, resident of Bariawan police station Akbarpur and 5-6 other persons with JCB was reported. A case was also registered in Akbarpur police station regarding the incident. It is mentioned in the order that despite the information about the incident, Inspector in-charge Akbarpur did not discharge his duties with full dedication. During the on-site observation of the Superintendent of Police, it has been mentioned that laxity was found in the role of police related to the incident.
Accountant's suspicious role led to suspension letter
According to the information received, departmental punishment has also been imposed on Rohit Lal, accountant of Bariawan area, in the same case. Keeping in mind the negligence of the local accountant of the said area, SDM Akbarpur has suspended him.
