Lucknow. BSP supremo Mayawati on Wednesday announced the appointment of her second nephew Ishan Anand as the national convenor of the party. Mayawati had recently posted on social media saying that she is going to give a big responsibility to Ishaan. Taking the name of her elder nephew Akash Anand, Mayawati had also said that if Ishan Anand also committed irregularities like her, he would also be removed and the responsibility would be given to a Dalit working for the party. After Mayawati expressed confidence, Ishaan touched her feet and took blessings.

Mayawati had earlier given important responsibility to Akash Anand, but suddenly accused Akash and his father-in-law and former BSP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth of anti-party activities. Mayawati had told Ashok Siddharth that if he retires from politics, then he can again give a big responsibility to Akash Anand. Ashok Siddharth announced his retirement from politics on this, but Mayawati was angry that he took the decision late. Besides, the BSP supremo was further angry with Akash Anand because her nephew had not shared her post.
After the announcement of ousting Akash Anand from BSP, Mayawati had said that she wanted to give important responsibility to her niece Deepika Anand, but only two days had passed after this announcement that Mayawati's mood changed. Mayawati wrote on social media that Deepika will also get married in the future and a similar situation may happen like that of Akash Anand. For this reason she will not give an important post to her niece in BSP. Along with this, Mayawati had announced to hand over an important post in BSP to her second nephew Ishan Anand. Mayawati had also said that her brother Anand Kumar would also continue to fulfill his responsibilities.
