New Delhi. The opposition is attacking the CEC and the Election Commission over media reports on alleged disagreements between the Chief Election Commissioner and the Election Commissioners. Meanwhile, BJP has hit back at Congress and other opposition parties for raising questions on the constitutional institution. BJP MP Sambit Patra, while reacting to the Indian Express report on the opposition's allegations, said that ever since the Modi government was formed in 2014, the opposition parties have been continuously failing in every election. Due to not being elected by the public, the existence of the opposition, especially the Congress, came in danger. Frustrated by the defeat, the opposition is trying to defame the constitutional institutions.

Patra said that if the three Election Commissioners did not communicate or talk to each other, or did not consult each other and everyone kept saying yes, yes, then the opposition would have said that this is a dictatorship, all three have been made by this government and all three are lapdogs. Quoting the Indian Express report, the BJP MP said that there has been correspondence 14 times between the three Election Commissioners. Patra said, this is a sign of a good democracy. You tell me that in a democracy, discussing an issue among ourselves and ultimately taking a decision on it is democracy or whether agreeing with a yes is democracy.
BJP MP said, today all the opposition parties are trapped in a trap. The trap of claiming that the Election Commission and the government were acting in a dictatorial manner.
