ABVP's stance on reservation : 'Reservation' has become an issue of debate from time to time in the country. Now a big statement has come out from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student organization associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on this sensitive issue. National General Secretary of ABVP has called reservation as necessary for the country.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki recently said that he supports reservation as this system is important for the country, and those who are demanding its removal should have a complete understanding of the issue. In an interview given to a news agency, Solanki said, “There is a provision for reservation in the Constitution and reservation should continue.”
The national general secretary of the RSS-affiliated organization further said, “ABVP has always stood by reservation. We have consistently said that reservation is necessary in the country.” He also expressed his views on the demands of some groups to improve or remove the existing reservation policy. Solanki said, “I think those making such demands should have a complete understanding of the issue.
“We need to understand what the country needs,” Solanki stressed. He said that the ideology of ABVP is based on social harmony and it believes that everyone should move forward together. Therefore, reservation is necessary.
