Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan continues to reign supreme as India’s richest actor, according to the newly released Hurun India Rich List 2026.
With an estimated net worth of Rs 10,000 crore, the actor maintains a massive financial lead over his industry peers, even as his overall valuation registered a notable decline over the past twelve months.
The latest evaluation marks a decrease of Rs 2,490 crore from the Rs 12,490 crore figure attributed to Khan in the 2025 Hurun India Rich List. Earlier this year, the Hurun Global Rich List had estimated his net worth at Rs 10,800 crore.
According to reports, these figures represent market estimates, which frequently fluctuate based on private equity valuations, corporate holding shifts, and asset reassessments. Beyond his box-office earnings, Khan’s primary wealth drivers remain his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and his major equity stake in Knight Riders Sports, which operates the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise.
Veteran icon Amitabh Bachchan occupies the second spot among actors on the 2026 list with an estimated wealth of Rs 4,000 crore. Bachchan witnessed a massive jump from his 2025 valuation of Rs 1,630 crore, fueled by strategic long-term investments, real estate acquisitions, and diversified assets managed through his family office.
The 2026 rankings also saw high-profile debuts and shifts. Salman Khan made a fresh entry onto the list with an estimated net worth of Rs 3,000 crore. He is followed by Hrithik Roshan, whose wealth grew to Rs 2,500 crore—up from Rs 2,160 crore in 2025—largely boosted by the commercial performance of his fitness and lifestyle brand, HRX.
Notably, the 2026 list saw the exit of prominent names featured in the previous edition. Actor Juhi Chawla (previously valued at Rs 7,790 crore in 2025) and filmmaker-producer Karan Johar (valued at Rs 1,880 crore in 2025) both missed out on making the 2026 actor rankings.
In addition to mainstream actors, film industry executives and media moguls maintained strong positions on the broader list. Naresh Malhotra, father of Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra, holds a staggering net worth of Rs 16,000 crore. Other major film producers on the list include T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, RSVP Movies founder Ronnie Screwvala, and Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran.
