NEW DELHI:

India’s economic growth outlook has received a boost after several global institutions and rating agencies raised their growth projections for the country.

The Asian Development Bank, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, S&P and Fitch have joined Moody’s in revising India’s growth forecast upwards, citing factors including domestic demand and investment activity.

The revisions come amid continued attention on India’s economic performance and the outlook for the current financial year.

Meanwhile, RBI Deputy Governor Poonam Gupta said the rupee has scope to stabilise and appreciate, according to reports. The developments come as policymakers and global investors continue to assess India’s growth prospects against wider international economic uncertainties.
