Accel India III (Mauritius) sold 28 Lakh shares, minting ₹231.7 Cr, while four of 360 ONE’s funds sold nearly 34 Lakh shares combined for ₹281.3 Cr
Accel – one of the biggest institutional shareholders in BlueStone with 10.1% stake as of June 30, 2026 – pared its holdings by 17.4%
Nearly 4% of BlueStone’s equity changed hands, worth a combined ₹513 Cr
Institutional investors Accel and 360 ONE have offloaded a cumulative 61.98 Lakh shares of omnichannel jewellery retailer Bluestone via multiple bulk and block deals today, as per BSE data.
Accel India III (Mauritius) sold 28 Lakh shares, minting ₹231.7 Cr, while four of 360 ONE’s funds sold nearly 34 Lakh shares combined for ₹281.3 Cr. Each transaction was executed at ₹827.60 per share, a 3% premium to the stock’s closing price today.
The shares that were offloaded were picked up by domestic mutual funds and insurance companies.
Mirae Asset Mutual Fund was the largest buyer, acquiring 20.8 Lakh shares, followed by Bajaj Life Insurance, SBI Life Insurance, and Nippon India Mutual Fund, who snapped up 9.5 Lakh shares apiece. International investors Kuwait Investment Authority, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup Global Markets Singapore also picked up stake in the company.
In total, nearly 4% of the company’s equity changed hands, worth a combined ₹513 Cr.
Accel – which held 1.6 Cr shares or around 10.1% stake in BlueStone as of June 30, 2026 – is one of the biggest institutional shareholders in BlueStone. The VC firm has now offloaded 17.4% of its holdings. 360 ONE held about 3.8% stake in BlueStone at the end of the June quarter.
This is the second time when the aforementioned investors offloaded stake in BlueStone this year. Earlier in June, Accel, 360 ONE and IvyCapVentures offloaded 46.4 Lakh shares of omnichannel jewellery brand via multiple open-market transactions for ₹242.8 Cr.
Founded in 2011 by Gaurav Singh Kushwaha and Vidya Nataraj, BlueStone offers more than 8,000 designs across rings, pendants, earrings and other products. It competes with the likes of CaratLane, GIVA, and other legacy jewellery brands.
The jeweller operates 352 stores across 139 cities, per its disclosures at the end of the June quarter.
On the financial front, BlueStone reported a PAT of ₹6 Cr in Q1 FY27 against a loss of ₹34.8 Cr in the year-ago period, albeit its profit declined by 81% on a sequential basis. The company’s operating revenue surged 50% YoY and 8% QoQ to ₹736.9 Cr.
BlueStone’s stock ended today’s trade 5.63% lower at ₹805.06 on the BSE.
