Delhi: South Africa defeated Australia by 67 runs in the first ODI played at Kingsmead ground in Durban on Thursday. In this way the host team took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. In this match, after Matthew Britzke's century and Marco Jansen's brilliant batting, such a fielding was seen which forced all the spectators to sit tight.

Yansen took such a catch of Australian batsman Matt Renshaw with one hand that no one could believe it for a few moments. This catch came at a time when Australia seemed to be moving towards victory, but after this their innings completely fell apart.

Yansen made an amazing catch with one hand

Australia had a target of 298 runs to win. The team made a great start and at one time the score had reached 96/1. Mitchell Marsh had put pressure on South Africa by scoring 60 runs in just 36 balls.

However, after this Australia started losing wickets continuously. Matt Renshaw was standing at one end and was trying to control the team by scoring 44 runs. Australia needed 83 runs in 83 balls to win and had six wickets left.

Gerald Coetzee came to bowl in the 37th over. After hitting a four on the first ball, he kept the next ball short. Matt Renshaw pulled the ball hard towards deep mid-wicket. The ball was going fast in the air and it seemed that it would easily reach the boundary line, but Marco Jansen was present there.

Yansen ran fast in the direction of the ball and jumped forward. He extended his right hand fully and caught the ball with one hand. The ball got stuck between his thumb and forefinger. Yansen had fallen on the ground, but the ball did not come out of his hand.

Yansen created a stir with his first bat

This match was not special for Marco Yansen just because of that catch. He got the team out of a difficult situation even with the first bat.

Yansen scored 75 runs in just 59 balls. His innings included 7 fours and 4 sixes. Whereas Britzke played a brilliant inning of 112 runs. The partnership between these two took South Africa to 297 runs.

In the reply innings, Australia was all out for 230 runs in 41.2 overs and South Africa won the match by 67 runs.
