In Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, 68,500 assistant teacher recruitment candidates reached the BJP state office on Thursday and demonstrated strongly. Around 50 candidates entered the office premises by dodging the security arrangements and started shouting slogans by lying on the ground. The candidates were wearing caps with 'Reservation Scam' written on their heads and kept protesting by whistling for about half an hour. When the police tried to evict the protesters, a situation of scuffle and scuffle broke out.
The protesting candidates suddenly reached inside the state headquarters of BJP. As soon as they reached the campus, they lay down on the ground and started shouting slogans. Holding placards in their hands and caps with 'Reservation Scam' written on their heads, the candidates continued raising their voices regarding their demands. Some candidates had reached the office wearing BJP placards around their necks. It is alleged that for this reason he was initially considered a worker and was allowed inside. After this, other candidates also reached the campus and the demonstration started.
Whistle raised slogans, protest continued for half an hour
The candidates lay on the ground in the office premises, whistled and raised slogans. The protesters allege that there were discrepancies in implementing the rules of reservation in the recruitment of 68,500 assistant teachers, due to which eligible candidates were deprived of their rights. The candidates are demanding implementation of the recommendations of the State Backward Classes Commission, release of revised results and appointment to the eligible candidates.

Allegations of scuffle with police, tearing of clothes
There was a scuffle and scuffle between the police and the candidates while the protesters were being escorted out of the office premises. Some protesters alleged that the police forcibly removed them and during this they were misbehaved. Clothes of some candidates got torn. These allegations have not been independently verified. After the demonstration, the police detained the candidates and sent them to Eco Garden. After this the situation around the BJP office became normal. Even before this, 68,500 candidates associated with teacher recruitment were protesting in Lucknow with their demands.
What is the demand of the candidates?
Candidates say that discrepancies related to reservation in 68,500 assistant teacher recruitment should be removed. He says that eligible candidates of OBC, disabled, ex-servicemen and freedom fighters categories should get the benefit of reservation as per rules. The candidates are demanding release of revised results considering 60 marks i.e. 40 percent out of 150 as qualifying marks and completing the appointment process by issuing a new list of eligible candidates on the basis of the recommendation of the State Backward Classes Commission.

Movement reached from Eco Garden to BJP office
68,500 teacher recruitment candidates have been protesting at Eco Garden in Lucknow for the last several days. Even before this, they had demonstrated at different places regarding their demands.
