New Delhi : Climate change is being felt in many states across the country. Citizens are shocked by the severe heat of summer in Maharashtra. The people of the state are still waiting for rain. Meanwhile, the weather in Uttar Pradesh has changed. On Thursday, several districts of Purvanchal and Terai region received heavy rainfall. Rain accompanied by gusty winds brought down the temperature.
There is a possibility of more rain in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Met department has issued orange alert of heavy rain for 13 districts. Yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued for 29 districts. Gusty winds of 40 to 60 km per hour are expected in 52 districts. Till Thursday evening, Prayagraj recorded 26 mm, Sultanpur 20.8 mm, Amethi 19.8 mm and Gorakhpur 14.2 mm. Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ghazipur, Ballia, Sonbhadra and Maharajganj also received rain.

A senior meteorologist said heavy rains are likely to occur in many parts on September 25-26. Its effect will last till 27 September. The temperature may drop by four degrees in the next four days. Orange alert has been issued for Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya and surrounding areas.
Rain warning for many districts of Maharashtra
Heavy rain has been warned in some places in the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain showers at some places. Rain with lightning has been forecast in Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur Ghatmatha, Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune, Pune Ghatmatha, Nashik, Nashik Ghatmatha, Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Dharashiv, Parbhani, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Bhandara and Gondia districts. Yellow alert of heavy rain has been given in Satara, Satara Ghatmatha, Raigad, Solapur, Latur, Nanded and Gadchiroli districts.
