Jama Masjid Viral Video: Seeing the helplessness of a mother and the pain of an innocent girl sobbing in her lap outside AIIMS Hospital in the capital Delhi, anyone’s heart would ache. But the content creators of Delhi did such a miracle for this mother-daughter duo, which can be expected only from angels. This heart-wrenching incident started when Khalifa, a social media influencer, and his friends noticed a helpless mother sitting outside the hospital, begging for help for her seriously ill daughter. Upon investigation, it was found that the little girl, just a few months old, was suffering from a very rare and fatal genetic disease called ‘Spinal Muscular Atrophy’ (SMA) Type 1, which gradually weakens the nerves. According to doctors, to treat this incurable disease, an injection is needed which costs more than Rs 9 crore. It was impossible for a poor family to raise such a huge amount, after which the tears in the mother’s eyes were not stopping. Seeing this pain, influencers came forward and within no time the small campaign became a big campaign. The appeal to raise money for the girl started from the streets and reached the historic Jama Masjid of Delhi, where people set an example of humanity by ignoring the walls of caste and religion and raised the hope of saving the life of this innocent child by collecting donations worth crores of rupees. And for the injection of Rs 9 crore, crowd funding of more than Rs 6 crore was collected. The daughter is dependent on others even to drink water. The victim’s mother, while narrating her pain, said that her daughter spends her whole day just lying on the bed, while other children of the same age run, play and jump. The situation is so bad that the girl needs help from others even to drink a sip of water. The mother’s only dream is that her daughter should also be able to laugh and play like other children of the world and one day she will again lovingly call her ‘Mother’. This hope gave him the courage to wander from door to door and extend his hand to the people. View this post on Instagram This is how the caravan of help spread from the road to Jama Masjid. Initially, the influencer and his friends stopped and talked to people passing by AIIMS about this and requested for help. After this the campaign reached Jama Masjid in Delhi. Just after the Friday prayers, when people came out of the mosque, these youth presented their views in front of the people wearing T-shirts with pictures and details of the girl. Besides, QR Code was also displayed for digital donation, so that anyone can transfer money online as per their wish and capacity. Humanity came forward breaking the walls of religion and caste. The most beautiful thing about this campaign is that the victim mother and child are Hindus, but the people who came out after offering Namaz outside Jama Masjid donated openly without any discrimination. Someone gave money as per their capacity, while someone prayed for the long life of the girl. This scene was proof that when it comes to saving the life of an innocent person, humanity rises above all religions. View this post on Instagram Funds worth crores raised, still need help.
