The Bulls have signed three NBA veterans — Brandon Boston Jr., Orlando Robinson and Drew Peterson — to training camp contracts and have set their roster for next week’s camp, which begins on September 29 and runs through Oct. 4 (Twitter link via Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic).
Boston signed with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce in August 2025 and spent last season overseas. The 6’6″ guard most recently played for Milwaukee’s Summer League team, averaging 11.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in seven total games (19.3 minutes per game). His shooting slash line in that small sample size was .481/.479/1.000.
It’s worth noting that Boston’s last NBA stint came with the Pelicans during the 2024/25 campaign. New Bulls head of basketball operations Bryson Graham was New Orleans’ general manager at the time.
Robinson, a 6’10” center, spent most of last season on a two-way deal with the Magic before he was cut in late February. The 26-year-old big man most recently represented Team USA during the July and August qualifying windows for the 2027 World Cup.
Peterson, meanwhile, spent two seasons with Boston on two-way deals prior to signing a two-way contract with Charlotte last year. The 6’8″ forward was waived by the Hornets in December 2025 and finished last season with Detroit’s NBAGL affiliate, the Motor City Cruise.
The Bulls will enter training camp 14 players on guaranteed standard contracts, two on two-way deals and five players on non-guaranteed camp deals, with the other two being Peter Suder and Houston Briefcase.
Any of the five camp invitees theoretically could claim the 15th and final standard roster spot, but only Peterson, Suder and Mallette are eligible for the third two-way slot. Boston and Robinson are ineligible to sign a two-way contract because they both have four years of NBA experience.
