New Delhi. After the Election Commission meeting today, BJP has launched a strong verbal attack targeting Congress and Rahul Gandhi. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that today the attacks on the Election Commission have turned milk into milk and water into water. Today, on the last page of the public statement issued by the Election Commission of India, there is a picture in which all three Election Commissioners are sitting together. From this it is clear that there is no difference of opinion between the CEC and other election commissioners. Rahul Gandhi is not able to gain power and only because of this he is attacking constitutional institutions like Election Commission and Supreme Court.
Patra said, if we look at the history of the Congress party since 2014, there is no such institution which has not been attacked by the Congress. No other political party in India has ever attacked the Indian Army. But the Congress Party and some of its allied satellite parties have attacked the Indian Army. He has also attacked the judges of the Supreme Court and even called them puppets.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the kind of baseless and shameful allegations that the opposition parties, especially Congress and Rahul Gandhi, are making on the Election Commission on the basis of media reports for the last 4-5 days is very unfortunate. We condemn this. Today the Election Commission has issued its press note. In the meeting held today, the Chief Election Commissioner and both the other commissioners were present together. It has been said in this report that all the decisions taken regarding SIR were taken with the consent of the Chief Election Commissioner and the other two commissioners of the Election Commission.
