New Delhi .South actor Nani is in the news these days for the film The Paradise. During the promotion of the film, he spoke openly about his career and selection of films. The actor told that after the birth of his son Arjun, there has been a change in his perspective of choosing films. Nani says that he also thinks about how his son will view his characters and scenes when he grows up and watches his films.
Nani has long been known for family-friendly films. However, in the film V released in the year 2020, he played a character different from his previous image by playing the role of a serial killer. After this, the actor also worked in action and different genre films.
In a video related to the promotion of The Paradise, Nani talked about choosing films keeping her son Arjun in mind. He said that when his son grows up to be around 15 years old and watches his films, the question in his mind will be whether he will have to change the channel during a scene or will he feel uncomfortable watching that scene.
The actor admitted that having a son has affected his film choices. He described this change as influencing his choice of films in a good way. According to him, now while accepting any film or character, he also considers how his son might view that work in the future.
Regarding The Paradise, Nani also clarified that her son cannot watch the film at the moment. The film has received an A certificate, so Arjun will have to wait for a few years to see it. During the promotion of the film in Chennai, Nani told that her son was asking her about watching The Paradise.
Nani explained to him that he could not watch the film as soon as it was released. Only when he feels he is ready to watch the movie will he be able to watch it. In this way, the actor said that keeping in mind the age of his son and the nature of the film, he should decide about watching it.
When Nani was asked whether doing such films was distancing him from the family audience, he expressed the need to explore different types of films and genres as an actor. He said that different types of intensity, performance and genre can be presented only in a special way.
The Paradise is directed by Srikanth Odela. Raghav Juyal, Mohanlal, Sonali Bendre and Sampath Raj are in important roles along with Nani in the film. The music of the film has been given by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has been released in eight languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam.
