How to make Mixed Fruit Jam
First of all, wash all the fruits thoroughly with water. After this, peel the apple, papaya and pineapple and cut them into small pieces. Remove the seeds from the strawberries and cut them into small pieces. Add the chopped fruits to the mixer jar and crush them lightly. If you like smooth jam, you can make very fine puree of the fruits. Now add fruit puree to a thick bottomed pan and start cooking it on medium flame. When the mixture becomes a little hot, add sugar to it and mix it properly.
Keep stirring the mixture continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Gradually the water in the fruits will start drying up and the mixture will start thickening. When the jam becomes thick, add lemon juice to it. Lemon juice balances the taste and gives a nice texture to the jam. If you like spicy taste then you can add some chaat masala or taj powder at this stage. The jam becomes thicker after it cools, so do not cook it too much. To check whether the jam is ready or not, put some jam on a plate and moisten the plate. If the jam does not go away like water but moves slowly, then turn off the gas and let it cool.

How to store?
Fill the cooled jam in a very clean and clear airtight glass jar. There should not be even the slightest moisture in the jar. Since there are no preservatives in this homemade jam, it is better to keep it in the fridge. Now you can serve this delicious and pure mixed fruit jam with bread, parotta or pancake. This is also an excellent option for children's tiffin box.
