After the murder of 40-year-old Saikun Khan in broad daylight near the police station in Alwar, Rajasthan, a case of tension and protests has come to light in the area. According to the police, on September 24, near Baroda Meo police station, a person threw Saikun Khan down from his bike and attacked him several times on the head with a stone. The police have arrested the accused and have asked for his mentor examination. Questions have also been raised on the role of the police regarding the incident.
After the murder, demonstrations took place outside Baroda Meo Police Station and Alwar District Hospital. The protesters demanded action against the policemen deployed at the police station, compensation to Saikun Khan's family and investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Alwar-Bharatpur road was also blocked during the demonstration.

1. According to the police, Saikun Khan was a resident of Bada Vas of Alwar. On September 24, he had gone to Baroda Meo market on his motorcycle to buy tyres.
2. According to Police Inspector Rajkumar, Saikun Khan had dropped Noor Mohammad, a resident of his village, near a bank. After this, he was passing in front of Baroda Meo Police Station at around 10 am.
3. Police say that during this time, accused Harsh Murtikar allegedly stopped Saikun Khan and pulled him down from the motorcycle. After this his head was repeatedly attacked with stones.
4. According to the police, there was no previous enmity between Saikun Khan and the accused and both did not even know each other. Police said that the accused is suspected to have mental health problems.
5. Inspector Rajkumar said that the incident happened on the left side of the police station. As soon as the police got information about the incident, the team reached the spot and the accused was arrested. The accused has been produced before the magistrate and his medical examination is being done.
6. Seriously injured Saikun Khan was first taken to the Community Health Center. Seeing his condition from there, he was referred to Alwar, but he died while being taken to the district hospital.
7. After the incident, people demonstrated outside Baroda Meo Police Station and Alwar District Hospital. The protesters demanded action against the staff posted at the police station, compensation to Saikun Khan's family and an investigation into the circumstances of his death.
8. Alwar-Bharatpur road was also blocked during the protest, due to which traffic was affected. In view of the situation, additional police force was deployed in the area.
9. Congress MLA from Alwar Tikaram Julie described the incident as a 'black spot' on the law and order of Rajasthan. He said that the fear of law among criminals has reduced so much that they are not afraid of committing crimes even in front of the police station. He raised the question that when the police stations themselves are not safe then where should the common man go for justice and security.
10. Kashmir's chief religious leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq described the murder of Saikun Khan outside the police station as horrific on social media platform X. He said that the family alleges that Saikun Khan was targeted because of his beard and cap. He demanded a complete investigation into the matter and action against the culprits. He also alleged that the alleged inflammatory and communal statements made by BJP leaders and ministers in different states are promoting prejudice and hatred against minorities.
