Ujjain. In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, roads are being widened in the city for Simhastha in the year 2028. To widen the road, part of the ancestral house of Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav also has to be demolished. CM Mohan Yadav himself started demolishing his house using a pickaxe on Sunday. Apart from the CM, his sister Kalavati's house is also to be demolished. Mohan Yadav's sister is also a BJP leader.

Mohan Yadav's family has said that it will not take any compensation from the government for the part of the house to be demolished. CM Mohan Yadav also looked emotional while starting the demolition of the house. The 730 meter long road from Ujjain's Khajoorwali Mosque to Ganesh Chowk in front of Abdalpura and Jiwajiganj police station is being widened. The width of this road is to be 15 meters. Due to this, 272 houses will have to be demolished. All the houses have been marked red. Setting an example, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav himself started the work of demolishing his house. About 2.90 meter portion of Mohan Yadav's ancestral house is to be demolished.

The ancestral house of Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav was built by his grandfather Ramchandra Yadav in the year 1974. Mohan Yadav was also born in this house and he came into politics while living in this house. Presently Mohan Yadav's uncle lives with his family in this house. Simhastha takes place in Ujjain. Which is very important for Hindus. Due to Simhastha, lakhs of people from outside will come to the city. For whose convenience the city roads are being widened. Now that Mohan Yadav has started demolishing his house, it is expected that the owners of other demolished houses in Ujjain will set a similar example.
