Pawan Kheda's sharp questions on removing 13 crore names from the voter list!

Politics has intensified regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. There was a heated war of words between BJP and Congress over 'X'. Congress MP Pawan Kheda, while sharing a post of BJP, fiercely targeted the Central Government and raised questions on the credibility of the voter list.

In fact, earlier the BJP had posted on its official 'X' handle, “SIR has removed the names of 2.8 crore dead voters from the voter list. The question is simple, who benefited by retaining these names in the voter list? Who wants names that can be used for fake voting?”

Now when SIR is making the voter list clean, Indi Alliance is creating ruckus. Why? Does Indi Alliance want the names of dead people to remain in the voter list? The country should get an answer to this.”

Responding to this post of BJP, Congress leader Pawan Kheda hit back regarding the figures. He wrote, “The names of 13 crore voters have been removed under the SIR. BJP says that out of these, 2.8 crore voters were those who had died, which is correct. What about the remaining 10.2 crore voters?”

Pawan Kheda further raised the question that if the names of such a large number of dead people were present in the voter list, then what was the justification for the summary revision process held every year.

He wrote, “If the names of 2.8 crore dead people were in the voter list, then was the 'summary revision' (annual update of the voter list) done every year since 2014 really that bad? Is the BJP admitting that it has failed to maintain the voter list properly over the years?”

Congress alleges that names of voters are being deleted on a large scale in the name of SIR, which will affect democracy. At the same time, BJP says that this process is necessary to make the voter list clean and free from fake voting. BJP alleges that the 'Indi' alliance wants to save the names of dead voters so that it can take political advantage.
