Robert Pattinson has finally addressed the chances of him continue to play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU.
Gunn, after becoming the new boss of the DC Studios, announced a new Batman movie by the name The Brave and the Bold. However, it still isn’t confirmed who will be playing the superhero.
Robert made his debut in the 2022 action crime film directed by Matt Reeves. When he joined the DC universe as Batman, James hadn’t become the boss.
Now there are questions whether Pattinson will reprise the titular role in Gunn’s world.
Variety reported that the Twilight actor said, “I think it would be kind of tough to have this version of Bruce outside of that world. It’s one of the only characters, I guess because of the length of the shoots, but also, it’s such a specific kind of (style), the tone of it gets inside you.”
The Odyssey actor continued, “I remember that happened to me the last time I did it, it took a while. You’re just in the dark, the whole time.”
According to Robert, the mood and tone of filming a Batman movie is so overall so dark that it leaves a mark on him.
He admitted that he can’t see or feel anything mood-wise for like months. It does affect you, like you feel strange afterwards.
The actor will however be returning as the caped crusader in The Batman Part II, directed by Reeves. The movie is set to hit theatres globally on February 18, 2028.
