After which, heavy rains are being seen in all the states including these two. In the latest information, the Meteorological Department has said that there will be more rain in many states including UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. The level of Narmada river has increased in Madhya Pradesh due to rain. Chardham Yatra has been stopped after the Meteorological Department declared red alert for Uttarakhand. There is news of snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone named Arnab has now weakened, but has moved towards Jharkhand and West Bengal. At the same time, there is going to be more rain due to the formation of low pressure area in the north-eastern areas of Madhya Pradesh. An alert of heavy rain has been issued for the next 72 hours in all the districts including the capital Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh. There are chances of heavy rain in many districts of UP also. Due to the impact of the cyclone, there is news of snowfall in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be light rain in many areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
The Meteorological Department has also informed that mild cold will start by the end of this month i.e. September. According to the Meteorological Department, due to snowfall in the hilly states, the impact on the plains has started becoming visible. There is a possibility of pink cold in the first week of October. This year, due to the effect of El Nino, there was intense heat and intermittent rains even during the monsoon. The Meteorological Department had already predicted below average rainfall in monsoon. Now, amidst the departure of monsoon, a cyclone has formed from the Bay of Bengal and has created havoc in many places due to rain.
