India believes in peace. India does not want war. India does not want to occupy any country's land. India does not want to threaten any country. But, there is a difference between peace and weakness. India wants peace. But India will not compromise with its security.”
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not just give India the goal of becoming self-reliant. He has taught India to believe in its own capabilities. This change is not limited to the defense sector. Today DRDO is not just an organization doing defense research and development.
It has become a national innovation platform connecting industries, universities, new ventures and scientists. The Defense Minister says, our very clear goal is to strengthen the hands of our new enterprises and micro, small and medium enterprises.
For this, the Defense Ministry has approved the purchase of more than Rs 2400 crore from new enterprises and micro, small and medium enterprises. Projects worth more than Rs 1500 crore have been approved for the development of new technology.
Rajnath Singh said, “Today the youth of India are working on AI, building unmanned aircraft, working on robotics, developing quantum technologies, and creating cyber security solutions. Working on autonomous systems.
This means that the youth of India are no longer preparing only for the jobs of the future. He is preparing technology for India's future war. Investment proposals worth about Rs 70,000 crore have so far come in the defense industrial corridors of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
An investment of approximately Rs 10,000 crore has been made. Today Indian defense products are reaching more than 100 countries of the world. These countries include countries in Asia and Africa as well as Latin America and Europe. In the field of semiconductor, we are working on developing the entire supply chain in India. Similarly, National Critical Mineral Mission has been launched to reduce dependence on imports in critical minerals.
He said that the purpose of our rise is not to leave any other country behind or to break the existing system. Rather, it is collective and inclusive development.
Our goal is development without disruption, positive change without conflict. On the security of the country, he said that security is not only the responsibility of our soldiers deployed on the border. This is also the collective responsibility of all of us.
We have to ensure that there is no animosity in the society on the basis of religion, caste, creed, religion, language, region or any other basis. There should be mutual trust among citizens. And keep all national interests above personal and narrow interests.
He informed that India is advancing the interests of the Global South through forums like Global South Summits. Standing with the countries of the Global South in times of need and providing them all possible assistance and support reflects India's commitment to the Global South.
