India Best Dancer 5 Winner: 19 year old Ritesh Pal from Raipur has won the trophy of India’s Best Dancer Season 5. Ritesh achieved this victory along with choreographer Prateek Utekar. Along with the trophy, he also received prize money of Rs 15 lakh. The special thing is that Ritesh had auditioned for this show for the first time in Season 2, but he was not selected then.
Were rejected in season 2
Ritesh did not give up and returned to the same dance stage again. In Season 5, with his consistently good performance, he made it to the finale and ultimately won the trophy. In the grand finale, Ritesh was competing against Deepali Borkar, Prathamesh Mane, Anshika Dhara and Geetanjali Marwaha. She performed in different dance styles throughout the season. Ritesh also won the Battle Trophy three times during this period.

After winning the show, Ritesh said that he still cannot believe his victory. He said that the victory he dreamed of has now come true and it will take him some time to understand this. Ritesh also said that he loved the trophy, but he enjoyed this entire journey even more. For him, the days spent on the show and the experiences he got there are most special.
dancing makes me relax
Ritesh told that dance is an important part of his life. When he dances, he feels relaxed. He also revealed that he suffered an injury after winning a reality show, due to which he had to rest for about three months. Ritesh said that when he returned to dancing again, he felt real happiness. According to him, dance is not just his work but a part of his life.
Pratik changed the way of dancing
Ritesh also gave credit for his victory to his choreographer Prateek Utekar. He told that earlier he used to dance without emotions, but Prateek taught him to dance with expression and character. Ritesh said that Pratik explained to him that it is not necessary to dance on every beat and lyric. Sometimes it is necessary to stop and pay attention to the expression.

According to Ritesh, there was a lot of change in his dance due to Prateek’s lessons. He said that his choreographer not only made him a better dancer but also taught him to express like an actor. Ritesh said that Prateik has created a new Ritesh in him and has also helped him become a better person.

Show judges Karisma Kapoor, Javed Jaffrey, Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis were present in the grand finale. Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia and Siddharth Malhotra also arrived as special guests. In this season themed ‘India Wala Dance’, the contestants got a chance to try different dance styles. Ritesh won the Season 5 trophy at the end of this journey with his performance.
