New Delhi: Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport was immersed in celebrations on Monday as the players who hoisted the flag for India in the Asian Games returned home. Families, neighbors and fellow players had already reached the airport to welcome the gold medal winners of the men's and women's Kabaddi teams. As soon as we got a glimpse of the players, the atmosphere of waiting turned into celebration amidst drums, applause and slogans.
The excitement at the airport once again increased with the arrival of the shooters after welcoming the Kabaddi players. The pair of Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet Singh, who won gold in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event, was the center of attraction.
'Confidence brought gold'
Indian men's Kabaddi team captain Sunil Kumar said amid the beat of drums that the team's self-confidence helped it win the gold medal. He expressed happiness over this warm welcome and expressed hope that one day Kabaddi will become a part of the Olympic Games.

Women's Kabaddi team captain Pushpa Rana described the final match against Iran as a tough challenge. He said that the team performed brilliantly on crucial occasions and won the gold medal.
Pushpa said that India is in a strong position in Kabaddi, while the game is also becoming popular in other parts of the world. He expressed hope that Kabaddi will be included in the Commonwealth Games and Olympics in future.
BSF band welcomed Manisha

Everyone's eyes were on Kamaljeet Singh and Suruchi Singh. Both won the gold medal for India in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event.

Suruchi won gold in Asiad debut
