Who is eligible for EWS certificate?
EWS certificate is for those families of general category, who do not come under SC, ST or OBC reservation and are economically weak. To be eligible, the annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 8 lakh. Apart from this, it is also necessary to fulfill the prescribed standards related to land and residential property.

On the basis of EWS certificate, eligible people can get the benefit of 10 percent EWS reservation in central and state government jobs. Apart from this, it is also used for admission in higher educational institutions and some government schemes.
Apply like this sitting at home
To apply in UP, one has to register on the e-District portal through Citizen Login (e-Sathi). After login, select Income & Asset Certificate service. After Aadhaar e-KYC, personal, address, income and asset related information has to be filled in the application.
Along with this, necessary documents like photo, identity and address proof, income related documents and self-declaration form have to be uploaded. Save the application number received after depositing the application fee. After this the application is verified by the Revenue Department and upon completion of the process a certificate is issued.
Facility from CSC center also
